Older Art Dump No. 2

Continuing with this!

WIP of a project I may or may not continue. I just liked the pose.

Owl Goddess in the trees.

Fat-Bottomed Tiger would like to engage you in a staring contest.

A prissy viking lady. She would probably not make it very far in their society... she'd break a heel in the middle of the battlefield and doom her entire army.

Older Art Dump No. 1

Going to post some older work as a starting block. Here's to improvement!

Faces of friends painted digitally from snagged Facebook pictures.

Hair is intimidating to draw most of the time. :(

Each person's face is a rainbow palette, it's really extraordinary how many unexpected colors you can find there.

An immensely scribbly wave study, based off of some photo I found on Tumblr.

A study done of a wolf in the rain. Reference was a wolf photo I found on DeviantArt... I should really remember where I get all of my reference photos, so I can give proper credit... seems like this photo was taken by Woxys on DeviantArt...

Dog Character Design Project

An exercise in... well, drawing dogs more than character design. I do all of my work in Photoshop, line art included, and I'm coming to realize that there are other programs, apparently, that make digital inking a lot smoother/a faster process, like SAI and even Illustrator. It might be worth a looksy, especially as each one of these takes me about an hour to ink individually. I heard that SAI only works for Windows, though, and that the Mac version leaves a lot to be desired...

Playing around with shapes and lines more than with characterization. Hope they're enjoyable!

Airedale Terrier.

Elkhound. I really enjoyed coloring this one.

Duck Tolling Retriever. The colors were fun to mess around with, but drawing the fur and paws was my favorite part.

Samoyed.

Golden Retriever.

My personal favorite, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

Well, this is mighty odd.

I suppose I'll introduce myself.

My name is Kylie Mosbacher, I'm currently 19 years old, and I have been drawing my entire life. I'm currently studying for a BA in Wildlife Conservation, and it is my dearest dream to unite my two passions into a career that will have some meaningful impact on the world, on whatever scale.

My ultimate goal is to create fun, easily consumable educational material for all ages, geared primarily towards environmental education. I would love any critique on how you think I might be able to improve upon what I'm trying to do.

I hope to be posting character sheets, mockups of possible educational pieces, in addition to personal work.

And I'm sure I'll figure out how to attractively utilize this website bloggy thing eventually... Yes.

So here's a neat mermaid to break the ice!

Hope you like what I post!
